Computer glitch

I'm having computer problems galore and awaiting a
visit by an Apple tech. My web site went awry but I
reloaded everything and hope all is well. I aplogize to
any that visited and wondered why it looked so funny!
Keeping things short b/c my connection may fizzle.
Slow blogger

Computer woes make me realize that while computers can
save time, they can also devour huge chunks of it. Case
in point, my print head went on my printer. We had a
photo printer I'd bought my husband and he'd never
used. Why not use that?
Great idea except I can't get the CPU to recognize the updated print driver I downloaded from the company's web site. No one wants to take the blame for why it won't work.
Then we get a lightning strike which takes out our sprinkler control box (again) and something in my wireless router. Strange thing, the wireless part continues to work but the PC activity light won't light up. More hours on the telephone, email, etc.
Suddenly, I realize I've spent more time trying to get these things to work than using them this past week! On the bright side, the lightning didn't hit me.

Trying again

It appears I'm not the world's best blogger, unless
blogging once or twice a year will get me that award.
And I'm not the world's best web site manager, either.
But Rapidweaver got most of the bugs worked out of
their latest version and I've upgraded and am now once
again trying to learn how to navigate a slightly
changed software program.
I deleted my previous blog pages because they weren't being archived correctly. With the upgrades, they were looking worse rather than better which is why I'm trying again. These will be bare bones blog pages until RW finishes revising their manual. I can only hope they'll share how to use all the new blog bells and whistles when they do.
I'm also trying again, b/c I'll be teaching an online writing class next month and figured my web site should be spruced up in case any students drop by for a looksee. Truth is, I've fallen into a writing gravy boat and seldom have time to come up for air. Unfortunately, it's not a novel writing gravy boat.
I'm working as a revisionist/copy editor on government flight manuals. Who would have thought that gig paid so well? I feel as if I'm living the life of a novelist backward, everyone else did technical writing and then jumped to fiction and I wrote fiction mostly peppered with some nonfiction, but no technical writing or copy editing.
I haven't abandoned fiction and I decided to share my prize winning short story with you. Hope you enjoy Chrysalis
