Writer's Resources

I've judged many
writing contests over the years and have a tendency to
suggest writing books to help the aspiring writer along
this rocky road we call publishing. Here are some of my all
time favorite books on how to write:
Techniques
of the Selling Writer by Dwight Swain, University of
Okalahoma Press, 1965
Story
by Robert McKee
(wonderful chapter on dialogue), Regan Books, 1997
Novel Writing
by Evan Marshall,
Writers Digest Books, 1998
Self-Editing for Fiction
Writers Renni Brown and Dave King,
Harper Perennial, 1993, revised 2004.

publishes a book appears willfully in public with his pants
down.
